Program Description

This is the fourth week in a 5-week yoga series (January 19-February 16) at the Sugar Creek Branch in New Palestine for both beginning and advanced students. Susan Goodart, a certified yoga teacher and fitness adviser, instructs the classes.  NOTE: THIS WEEK  CLASS WILL MEET FEBRUARY 9th in GREENFIELD IN THE AFTERNOON.

Hatha yoga is a term that refers to any type of yoga that teaches physical postures. It generally means that you will get a gentle introduction to the most basic yoga poses. You should end up leaving class feeling longer, looser, and more relaxed without working up too much of a sweat.

Use a chair or the floor depending on your abilities. Bring a mat or towel and a small pillow, and wear loose-fitting clothes. People with health issues should speak to their physicians before beginning any exercise.

A $25 fee is paid to the instructor at the first session. Those 60+ may attend free. THE FEE is for a 5-week session.

PLEASE NOTE some classes may be cancelled or held in Greenfield as the library will be moving to the new branch in February
