Annetta Petty will lead a discussion of Judi Dench's book Shakespeare The Man Who Pays the Rent. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to read the book in advance. Ask for a copy at the library’s information desk.

Participants will be admitted on a first-come/first-served basis as room allows. Upon arrival, please claim a blue lanyard for each child attending.

Teen Storymakers is a creative writing club for strictly ages 12-17, no younger siblings.  

Youth of all ages can pick up a chess set and play anywhere in the Children's Room. Program is drop-in; no registration required.

This program is for kids in grades 3-6 who want to learn about origami, the Japanese art of paper folding.  We will learn the basic folding techniques and will make a variety of origami creations. 

Teens and Tweens ages 10-17 are invited to join online and play Dungeons & Dragons with the Sugar Creek crew. New and experienced players welcome. Materials will be provided. 

Join us for a round or two (or five!) of chess. Boards are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Chess Club meets every third Thursday of the month. No registration required.

Do you love LEGOs? Come create masterpieces with us. Everyone will get scoops of Legos and a building plate. Finished creations will be put on display in the Children's Room.

Research your ancestors in our computer lab with other genealogy enthusiasts.

The Hancock County Public Library Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month unless specified otherwise. These sessions are open to the public.
