Program Description

Teens (ages 13-18), help out our local animal shelters by sewing a cat mat with one of our free kits. They’ll be available, beginning June 7, at the Sugar Creek Children’s desk in New Palestine while supplies last. The kits include everything you need: fabric, needle, thread, poly-fil, and instructions.

You may keep the mat for your own pet or bring it back to the Children's desk at either location. We’ll deliver the mats to the Hancock County Humane Society or P.A.W.S. Hancock at the end of summer.

No registration is required.

Want to donate more than just the cat mat?  Check out the "Other Donation Items" document on this page (under "Attachments") for a list of items that each shelter needs. Bring these items to our Greenfield or Sugar Creek children's desks all summer, and we’ll deliver them with the mats.
