Bring Your Own Board Game and enjoy some tasty treats to celebrate (or bemoan) the end of summer. There will be a variety of games to play, including both board games and Switch games. Treats while supplies last.

Calling all families with little ones ages 0–5! Join us for one last joyful celebration of summer at this Sensory Play Program.

Youth of all ages are welcome! Program is drop-in; no registration required.

Teens (grades 6-12), a new school year can be a lot, so come and de-stress by stuffing your own stuffed animal! There will be a variety of animals to choose from and all supplies are provided. 

Are you feeling overwhelmed by “too much stuff” or thinking about moving to a smaller space?

Kids, tweens/teens, and families can come and learn a variety of rhythms and drumming techniques in a drum circle setting! This program is an open house format; no need to register. Best for ages 6 and up.

Clean out your shelves and get a tax break for helping the Hancock County Public Library.

Linda Dunn will lead a discussion of the bestselling book The Barn: The Secret History of a Murder in Mississippi. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to read the book in advance.

Teens and Tweens ages 10-17 are invited to join online and play Dungeons & Dragons with the Sugar Creek crew. New and experienced players are welcome. Materials will be provided. 

Kids (ages 5-11) do you love LEGOs? Come create masterpieces with us. Everyone will get scoops of Legos and a building plate. Finished creations will be put on display in the Children's Room.

The Hancock County Public Library Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month unless specified otherwise. These sessions are open to the public.

Kids (ages 3-7 with an adult) come join us for an evening storytime with songs and fun. Bring your favorite pal (stuffed animal) and wear your pajamas.  (Pajamas for kids are encouraged but not required).

On this night, Friends of the Library members get first choice shopping the members-only preview sale, which includes gently-used books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, and video games.
