This is close-out day at the Friends of the Library book sale. A standard paper grocery bag full of books sells for $3, a plastic grocery bag for $2. Hours are extended so that teachers and people who work during the day can stock up.

For babies up to 24 months and a caregiver, join a storytime that combines stories, rhymes, songs and fingerplays.

Share the benefit of monthly get-togethers at the "Hancock County 'As I Recall' Storytelling Guild." Those who attend develop techniques that engage listeners. Meetings are informal and open to anyone interested.

Tweens, ages 8-12, design real-life animal habitats, the size of trading cards, with line drawings and ink.
