This is the fourth week in a 5-week series (September 1-29) in Greenfield for adults beginning yoga. Susan Goodart, a certified yoga teacher and fitness adviser, instructs the classes. Yoga increases strength, stamina, and flexibility and has been credited with improving mental health.
THIS SESSION MEETS IN THE YOUTH PROGRAM ROOM
Use a chair or the floor depending on your abilities. Bring a mat or towel and a small pillow, and wear loose-fitting clothes. People with health issues should speak to their physicians before beginning any exercise.
A $25 fee is paid to the instructor at the first session. Those 60+ may attend free.
