Teen Summer STEAM Challenge: Meet the Ocean

Teens (grades 6-12) participate in the Teen Summer STEAM Challenge to earn extra prizes. These activities can be found under "Activity Badges" when you register for "Teen Summer Reading Club 2022" in Beanstack. 

Each week a new set of themed activities will be released. You only have to complete one of the activities to earn that week’s badge and a small prize you can pick up at the Children’s Desk at Greenfield or Sugar Creek.

Earn all six badges to be entered to win a microscope!

Week 1: Meet the Ocean

Our world is made up in large part by the ocean, yet we don’t know too much about it (in the grand scheme of things and, maybe, on a personal level). Let’s change that (at least on the personal level)!

Complete at least one of the following activities under the "Meet the Ocean" badge:

• Solve the Weighting Game. 
• Take the True or False: Ocean Edition quiz.
• Conduct the Boat Origami experiment.
• Color an ocean-themed coloring page.
• Solve a math problem to figure out about how many gallons of water are in the ocean.
