Program Description

Author-historian Joseph L. Skvarenina is this month's featured guest in our local author showcase series. Skvarenina will discuss his published history books, including readings from his veterans' book, Memoirs World War II.

Skvarenina has served as the Hancock County Historian since 1991. He has additionally been involved in various history and service-related organizations across the county. His research interest primarily consists of local history matters. This includes businesses, churches, local philanthropic organizations, schools, war veterans, the civil rights movement and minority events.
