Program Description
Right now, members of the "League of Women Voters Hancock County," are placing free copies of Bryan Stevenson's book, Just Mercy, in various places around the county. Anyone may find the book, read it, and then share it with a friend or put it back for someone else to find. A bookmark inside tells about the program.
The movie, based on Just Mercy, will be screened Thursday, May 6, at the HJ Ricks Centre for the Arts in Greenfield. Those who read the book and take a survey will receive free admission.
Just Mercy demonstrates the difference that one person can make in the lives of others.
"It's necessary to recognize that we all need mercy, we all need justice, and--perhaps--we all need some measure of unmerited grace," says Stevenson.
