Program Description

The Hancock County Community Foundation, in conjunction with L.I.N.K. (Leaders in Navigating Knowledge), will host FAFSA day at the library. Talk with a financial aid expert from the National Center for College Costs, and get scholarship-application help in starting a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The hosting organizations encourage high school seniors and non-traditional adult learners to participate if they plan to use financial aid for college expenses.

The FAFSA is the application used by nearly all colleges and universities to determine eligibility for federal, state, and college-sponsored financial aid, including grants, educational loans and work-study programs. This event has been organized to make the FAFSA filing process a little less intimidating.
