This is the second week in a 5-week yoga series ( April 14-May 12) at the Sugar Creek Branch in New Palestine. Because the branch is a voting center, CLASSES APRIL 28 & MAY 5 will move to the Hancock County Public Library in Greenfield (900 W. McKenzie Rd).
This series is for both beginning and advanced students. Susan Goodart, a certified yoga teacher and fitness adviser, instructs the classes. Yoga increases strength, stamina, and flexibility and has been credited with improving mental health.
Use a chair or the floor depending on your abilities. Bring a mat or towel and a small pillow, and wear loose-fitting clothes. People with health issues should speak to their physicians before beginning any exercise.
A $25 fee is paid to the instructor at the first session. Those 60+ may attend free.
