Program Description
Spring clean and get a tax break for helping the Friends of the Library. On this day, please drop off your gently-used books, DVDs, music CDs, and video game discs at the side delivery entrance (northeast corner) in Greenfield. A volunteer will assist when you ring the bell. Please request your tax receipt at the same time.
Because of limited space, donations can only be made on specified dates.
Look for bargain books and other media for sale on shelves near the Greenfield and New Palestine entrances, to the left. Most prices range from 50 cents to two dollars. The Friends now accept credit and debit cards as well as cash.
Proceeds from sales by the Friends of the Hancock County Public Library, a non-profit volunteer group, sponsor free concerts and children's events. The Friends generously funded the children's playhouse in New Palestine.
