Blood Drive: New Palestine

Our Sugar Creek Branch will host a community Blood Drive Monday, October 5. The Versiti Bloodmobile will be parked outside from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Versiti announced that the Covid-19 antibody test will be performed on all successful blood donations as part of their standard testing.

New FDA guidelines have lifted or relaxed restrictions on previously deferred donors. To find out if you are now eligible, call 877-232-4376.

In order to give blood, individuals must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in “good” general health. Be sure to bring a photo ID and wear a mask. It is normally safe to donate whole blood every 56 days.

There is no substitute for the lifesaving gift of blood. It is precious, it is perishable, and the need for it is vital.
