Program Description

Retired Greenfield Central history teacher Bill Murphy shares his love of Indiana basketball with two new books. Bill will talk Indiana basketball and discuss why Hoosier Hysteria inspired him to become an author.

His most recent work is Am I a Hoosier? a children's picture book about a boy who wants to know what it takes to be called a Hoosier.

The second, for adults, is The Indiana Hoosiers Fans' Bucket List. Every fan has a bucket list of activities to take part in at some point in their lives. Even the most die-hard fans haven’t experienced everything there is in and around Bloomington, Indiana. From visiting the campus to copying Keith Smart’s jump shot that won the 1987 national championship, Bill Murphy and co-author Terry Hutchens provide ideas, recommendations, and insider tips for must-see places and can't-miss activities near the assembly hall.

But not every experience requires a trip to campus. Long-distance Hoosiers fans can cross some items off their list from home. Regardless of whether they're attending every home game or supporting the Hoosiers from afar, there's something for every fan to do in this book.

Bill will hold a book-signing after this event. Each copy is $16.00 or 2 for $30.00, cash or check only. Both books will make great gifts for IU Hoosiers in your family.
