Reading Expo with a Pro

Kids, preschool-grade 3 (with an adult), the day before the Super Bowl, National Football League players Matt Overton and Junior Aumavae will read aloud and share their stories of how reading prepared them to reach for excellence and become professional football players.

Hard work, passion and determination are what it took for Junior Aumavae to graduate with a bachelor's degree from Western Washington University and enter the professional ranks with the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Jets of the NFL.

Matt Overton, too, played college football at Western and later played for the Indianapolis Colts, which took him to the Pro Bowl in 2013.

This event is hosted by Elite Athletic Trend, a non-profit organization based in Greenfield that prepares youth in the community for leadership and competition through mentoring, athletics, and life skills development.
