Program Description

Learn about nativars — cultivated plants that are bred from a native species — in this free educational event sponsored by Hancock County Soil & Water Conservation District and the Hancock County Master Gardeners Association. Our featured speaker, Irvin Etienne, will speak on perennials and woody plants that can be added to your spring gardens.

Irvin Etienne has worked at the IMA for over 25 years. In addition to managing the 152 acres of gardens and grounds, he is an accomplished writer. For his blogging, Irvin has received Gold and Silver awards in Electronic media from the Garden Writers Association.
