Ron Myers and Tara Layne from The Community Beekeepers of Hancock County and Greenfield Parks Department will present "The Joys of Beekeeping," highlighting honeybees as pollinators and their upcoming summer family-oriented program at Thornwood Preserve.

Ron Myers is a long time beekeeper in the Hancock area. Devoted to the health and reproduction of honeybees, he has over the years invested his own time and resources to the success of his own apiary. He has moderated a local bee club, Community Beekeepers of Hancock County (CBK), for over 10 years, meeting ten months every year at the Purdue Extension in Greenfield.

Tara Layne  is the Grounds Foreman, Nature Programming, and CPR/FA Instructor for the Greenfield Parks Department. Tara has been with the parks department for 9 years in various roles. She enjoys working outdoors and helping people learn about/appreciate the outdoors.
