Program Description

Discover A Universe of Stories through song this summer with weekly performances by local bands, singer-songwriters, and thespians in our Summer Songteller Series.

Craig & the Crawdads play music that makes you get up and dance: blues, swing, New Orleans R & B, boogie-woogie, Zydeco, jazz -- you name it!  

Indiana-based Craig Brenner is a pianist, composer, arranger, teacher and recipient of multiple Indiana Arts Commission grants. Brenner leads Craig & the Crawdads, is a member of The Ragin' Texans, and has produced six CDs. The founder of Bloomington Boogies:  The Bloomington Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano Festival, his latest recording, Live At The Old Mint: Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano, was recorded at the Old U.S. Mint in New Orleans and at the Indianapolis Artsgarden, with "Uganda" Roberts on congas and Lori Brenner on additional percussion.
