Hear engaging vocalists backed by an 11-piece band of virtuoso musicians when the Cool City Band delivers an exhilarating musical experience at the library. Since 1999, the band has gained a following throughout the Midwest, performing in Indianapolis, Chicago, Louisville, and Cincinnati.

What makes the Cool City Band so cool?

  • Favorites from the 'Great American Songbook,' including Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, and other greats.
  • Tunes from the "horn bands" of the '70s right through to today's hit songs
  • Classic rock 'n' roll and Motown
  • A tight band including brass, saxophones, keyboards, bass, and drums
  • Instrumentalists versed in styles from swing to rock 'n' roll
