Program Description

The Hancock Co. Library is hosting a Blood Drive for the Greenfield-Central Schools staff Monday, September 14th! The Versiti Bloodmobile will be in the parking lot from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. You do not need to be affiliated with G-C Schools to donate. Schedule your donation HERE:  http://bit.ly/HancockLIbrary-GCSchools-BloodDrive-9-14-20

Versiti is pleased to announce that the Covid-19 antibody test will be performed on all successful blood donations as part of our standard testing!
New FDA guidelines have lifted or relaxed restrictions on previously deferred donors – to find out if you are now eligible, call 877-232-4376.
There is no substitute for the lifesaving gift of blood. It is precious. It is perishable. And the need for it is vital. Together with you, we make our communities stronger. We are a beacon of hope.

In order to give blood, individuals must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in “good” general health. Be sure to bring a photo ID. It is normally safe to donate whole blood every 56 days. Walk-ins are welcome, however, reservations are preferred.
