This free two-and-a-half-hour session covers essential camera settings, field techniques, and image editing tips suitable for camera enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to intermediates. Whether using a point-and-shoot, DSLR, or mirrorless camera from brands like Canon, Nikon, Sony, or Olympus, you'll gain valuable insights into capturing stunning bird images. Explore topics ranging from camera modes and focus techniques to lens selection and image editing software, including Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Bob Burchfield, a Greenfield resident since 1970, retired in 2016 after 33 years as a university employee. For two decades, he taught computer classes, including Adobe Photoshop, at the University of Indianapolis while serving as Director of Academic Support Services. Bob is a skilled digital photographer with over 58 years of experience and a collection of 400,000+ photos. His work has garnered over 83 million views on Google Maps, earning him recognition in the Top 1% of Google's contributing photographers. He specializes in bald eagle photography and moderates the Greenfield Eagle Watch Facebook group. Spending over 4,500 hours honing his birding photography skills at the Greenfield bald eagle observation site since March 2015, Bob presents his expertise using Canon DSLR cameras and Adobe Photoshop. However, the workshop topics apply broadly to all camera brands and editing software.
